Sales Mistake - Not using the phone

Why you should use the phone

1. Gets you the info you need faster!  You can ask those questions - not wait a week for someone to respond.  Questions are THE most important piece of your sales process. 

2. You can clarify - in my courses we discuss how important it is to clarify the prospects goals/vision/problem.  You can easily do this over the phone.  As we all know sometimes information is lost in translation on email. 

3. You can gauge if they are a good potential client! How do they treat you, do they respect you and your time.  

4. It shows good customer service!  Shows that you are wanting to work with them, an email with "get back to me when you can" shows no enthusiasm. 

5. If they are a bad lead - you can move on!  No waiting around for email responses, scheduling tasks in your CRM.  Done and DONE. 

 

Many of these reasons circle around saving you and the prospects time!  As we know this is one of the reasons a prospect might buy from you - you save them time.
